Our Team

Barret grew up in the small community of Inez, Texas. He followed his ranching background to College Station where he earned both a B.S. and M.S. in Animal/Meat Science from Texas A&M University. He joined the firm as a career changer in 2013 but has been a client since 2003. In fact, the same person that introduced him to his wife, Laci, also introduced him to his Northwestern Mutual advisor.  Barret is a Million Dollar Round Table qualifier and focuses on comprehensive planning by holding his Chartered Life Underwriter, health, life, disability and long-term care insurance licenses along with Series 6, 63, and 65 security licenses. In addition to managing his practice, Barret is also part of the leadership team. In his role as a Field Director he helps recruit and develop new representatives. 

You will also get to know June Ezeadiugwu, Associate Financial Representative.  June is an integral part of Team Kolle. The attention and service she provides to our clients is second to none.  She holds her Group 1 license, along with her series 63, 65, and 7 security licenses.

I came into the Financial Services business straight out of college. I am one of the few individuals who is still engaged in the career that they studied for in college and still enjoy it. It was suggested to me to look at companies that spend time, money and effort in training quality professionals. I made the right choice in joining what was then Northwestern Mutual Life. The Financial Services industry is changing rapidly. I was told early on that if I was not keeping up with my advanced education I will not be aware of the latest financial strategies or tax law changes that may effect my clients. So in 1994 I received my Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation. In 1995 I received my Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation. Both are from The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. In 2002 I became securities licensed.

Roberto obtained his Degree in Economics from the ITAM (Intsituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico); has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Certified Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designations from the American College in Pennsylvania and is recognized by the National Association of Estate Planners Council as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®). He is a founding board member of the “Asociacion de Empresarios Mexicanos, (AEM)”. Roberto served on the National Advisory Board to the Mexican Government through the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IME), chairing the Economic and Business Committee; he maintains close ties to his home country where he has served on the board of private and public businesses like TGI Friday’s, Italianni’s and Home Emphasis among others. Roberto has received numerous awards including MDRT Recognition & the National Quality Service award by NAIFA every year since 2009. Roberto’s articles have been published by many national and local magazine. He has been featured in frequent publications including Forbes, Hispanic Executive, Latino Leaders and Empresarios Magazines. Richard Karlgaard uses Roberto’s story for the chapter on “Trust” in the best seller book “The Soft Edge, where great companies find lasting Success”.

CLU®    The Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation has long been recognized as the fundamental and foremost educational credential for life insurance professionals. Since 1927, more than 94,000 individuals have earned their CLU®, helping them build a successful life insurance practice by providing clients with knowledgeable and ethical advice. For financial representatives, field management, home office personnel, and others involved in providing life insurance products to the public, the CLU® designation symbolizes continuing growth and commitment to professionalism.

ChFC®    The Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation focuses on the comprehensive financial planning process as an organized way to collect and analyze information on a client's total financial situation; to identify and establish specific financial goals; and to formulate, implement, and monitor a comprehensive plan to achieve those goals. The ChFC program provides financial services professionals with in-depth knowledge of the skills needed to perform comprehensive financial planning for their clients.

CASL®  The Chartered Advisor For Senior Living (CASL® designation is the most robust designation available in the specialized field of middle age through retirement. The CASL® program is education focused on assisting clients with management, preservation and transfer of wealth. This is the retirement designation that meets all regulatory standards.

Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT, 2009-2014)

Since 2009, Russell Stehling has been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) the Premier Association of Financial Professionals, The Million Dollar Round Table is an international, independent association of more than 35,000 members, or less than 1 %, of the world's most successful life insurance and financial services professionals from 476 companies in 76 nations and territories. MDRT members demonstrate exceptional professional knowledge, strict ethical conduct and outstanding client service. MDRT membership is recognized internationally as the standard of sales excellence in the life insurance and financial services business.

Founded in 1927, MDRT provides its members with resources to improve their technical knowledge, sales and client service while maintaining a culture of high ethical standards. 

Russell Stehling has won the National Sales Achievement Award (NSAA) in 2007 and 2010.  He received the National Quality Award (NQA) from 2006 through 2010.  In 2011 and 2012, Russell was awarded with the NAIFA Quality award.  

The National Quality Award (NQA) recognizes NAIFA members for competence and dedication as indicated by their persistency records. Those who qualify for the NQA understand their clients' needs. The policies they sell remain in force for when their clients need them most.
